Send sunshine and warm air quick!

Oh man, I am tired of the snow and cold air, I don't have the winter blah's, just tired of white and cold.
Nothing too interesting going on here, it is Tuesday after all?
I'm thinking of maxing out the memory in my laptop, I can go as high as 4Gig. At the moment there is 2Gig in it, and my laptop is a bit unique, the front side bus is variable according to the memory speed.
I have 2Gig. of DDR2-533 (533Mhz.) in my laptop at the moment, if I put 4Gig. of DDR2-667 (667Mhz.) the front side bus would increase to 640Mhz. so not only would I increase the size of the memory but also the bandwidth by 20%! a double whammy that would speed it up nicely....YEAH! I know, kinda nerdy! LOL! but fast is GOOD! BUT! it doesn't end there! The memory that I remove from the laptop can be reused in another machine! that one maxes out at 2Gig. SO I get an upgrade on a second machine for free! and FREE! is good! I would only benefit from the increase in memory size there, no bandwidth increase in that machine.
71 Day's to go now, 71 days till the lake opens up! I are needing it badly!
Time to head off for now!

Ice chopping

The rain yesterday allowed me to do some ice chopping, there was a large chunk that has formed on the ground and didn't want to move, a bit of persuasion later and it was gone.
Yesterday morning at church Pastor Tharp's son Phil (Who is also a preacher) preached a message, this young man has a bright future ahead of him, he is a good preacher already. Last night at church Pastor Islinger preached, he sounds a lot like Jerry Clower and has a humerous side too, I enjoy listening to him. Pastor Darin Tharp (The father) is another story, he is AWESOME to listen too! An old fashioned, pulpit pounding, Bible thumping, tell it like it is preacher! I can handle that? In the next week he will have been preaching at this church for 13 years? that is six time the normal ammount of time a preacher spends at a church now, I hope he never leaves! he's that good.
There are a total of four preachers at Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, one is retired, one does missions work and the other two are there full time, we are a lucky bunch.
It is time to head back to work.....I like my job as I have blogged, so I don't mind at all! I am already thinking of thing's I need to find out about or get done today, fun, fun.
I was kinda hoping for something to happen yesterday but it is not time yet, and I have plenty of that. I'm not sure what the day is supposed to be like, other than COLD!
I have a couple of things to be done today and I'm looking forward to getting them done.
Got to go for now!

Motivation

I was thinking about a class I took in high school, "See you at the top" by Zig Ziglar it is time to once again explore the information that I learned long ago, and see what new information I can find.
The new challenges that have come my way will bring new needs like that class, I want to see "Me" at the top. The odd thing about that class is that I STILL have the book 23 years after I took the class? I guess it did make an impression on me?
Coffee's calling.'s
OK........ so it is later and I tore apart that laptop and replaced the fans that were bad are replaced, I let it run for a couple of hours and it ran great, one project down a million to go...

Friday

Well, it doesn't look like we had too much snow last night, seem's to be only a flurry or two, quite nice.So what should I do this weekend? I have a laptop to repair but other than that it looks to ba a slow one. The laptop has a bad heatsink fan which requires the entire heatsink be replaced instead of just the fan. The fan is a newer squirrell cage style that is bonded to the heatsink so the whole unit needs replaced. The only other thing I need to do is get a haircut, no "Shaggy" jokes yet, but getting there.
Yesterday's warmer temperatures helped to pull us out of the deep freeze that has encased us for the last two weeks now, for the first time in days there is no snow on either of my vehicle's. It was so cold one day this week that when I went to clean off the windshield of my coupe the wiper blades shattered? no kidding! both are in pieces at the moment, one more small project to complete this weekend.
Hmmmmm....75 day's to relaxation? Not really, but I'm waiting not so paitently for that first day.I need to get a list going of what will be needed to get things started at the lake, even though it is a little bit away. Planning good!
A friend of my sisters had a baby recently, a cute little girl who will no doubt be loved by her brothers and sister.Time to head off for now, that second cup of coffee wants me to drink it.
Stay warm all...

Brain bag

I received a new "brain bag" yesterday...whats a brain bag? it's an organizer! It has been a couple of years since I've used an organizer but with all the new things I am learning and doing I need to keep track of what I need to do. I'm using a flash drive more and more also, it is a handy dandy way to store my personal files and transfer them from place to place at work.
So when is spring coming? I hear rumors of more snow this week yet......man....there are still large piles of snow in my drive and the snow is 18" deep through my yard, I'm ready to see the brown grass once again LOL I've been watching a travel trailer for a couple of years now, and it hasn't moved (not that I expected it too?) but I'd like to purchase it, it is larger and newer than the one I have right now. I don't really need more room, what I want is the REAL bed! this trailer has a full size bed in the rear which sounds quite nice to me. If I get it I would go from 28' to 32' a little bigger.
Oh man...I am SO bored! as you can see from my Blog, I wanna go camping....76 day's!
Time to head off for now, coffee's calling.

Me~

Well duh? Last night on the new they were discussing the ammount of snow we have has this season, apparently we are 12" above the normal snowfall for the ENTIRE season? DUH? LOL! I could have told you that! You should see the size of the snowpiles in my driveway! the end of the drive has 2 60" deep piles and in the front the pile is 38" deep and the sides are 20"...The thing is that we are going to get MORE snow yet this week? it looks like another 6" will come by Sunday night? I bet my snowpile is bigger than your's! LOL!!Yesterday for lunch I came home and shoveled the driveway out, there was already 3" of fresh snow and more coming and I didn't want to have to shovel it all out at once. When I came home there was another 2"+ on the ground and LOT'S of drifting......OH MAN........I need spring. The first time I cleaned my drive out I also started my coupe up and let it run for a bit, it had been three or four weeks since I'd even started it, the reason? no time to take it out or the roads are just too bad, the latter being the major problem. Now, you might think I hate snow? not really, snow helps the farmers. Snow contains nitrogen naturaly, something the farmers would need to add at a cost otherwise. Spring is close, of that I am sure....I've been getting those spring cravings lately! tortilla rounds and HOT salsa! YUM! it's a start anyhow? While on the subject of camping, last weekend I went to the lake and checked out my trailer. I knew that thing's had been a "little" stressfull at the end of the season but I had no idea how much till I looked at my trailer. I am WAY O.C. when it comes to how the trailer look's, that thing is spic-n-span clean when I leave so when I come back I don't need to "work" before I can relaxe. My trailer was a "mess" at least that's how it lookes to me, a lot of things were out of place which tells me I was way more stressed than I had admitted to myself. This spring I will need to get mid-evil on it's buttocks before I can camp in peace, but I still can't wait for that first weekend.I will need to make some repairs to my trailer this spring, the plumbing needs some attention, there is a dent that need's to be straightened out and I want to replace the awning fabric, plenty to do there.Time to head off for the moment, things to do....Later~

A heatwave? MORE snow?

Compared to the weather we have been having the temps today will seem like a heatwave? that temp? 17....yeesh! I hope the warm air does come soon? Although we had a couple inches of snow last night it doesn't seem to bad out, the roads are a little messy though.
Nothing interesting going on here, work flew right by last night, between a meeting and travel to the other facility there just wasn't enough time to get everything done, I'll make sure to catch up tonight.
Coffee's calling.......

UH-YEAH........after I left for work we had ANOTHER 5" of snow, those roads that were a LITTLE messy are now TOTALY wasted! OH MAN! we have had more than enough snow now...Me~
