I'm thinking that I am ready for winter to be over with! once again it is snowing each day now and it is collecting up AGAIN! I'd LOVE to see some GREEN grass! and hear the birds singing once again each morniing.
Six or eight more weeks of winter to go! GAK! no fun there!
Nothing new on the job front, not even a callback yet? things are tough, but with God I will make it through!

Memories
Isn't it amazing how someone mentioning something can trigger old memories? A classmate mentioned Mrs. Travis, my fifth grade teacher, she had gone on a trip to Hawaii sometime in the past and brought back a whole bunch of things with her. She shared those little things and memories of her trip with us and amazingly I can still remember some of them! The memory that flashed back was of a couple of dark (black) necklaces made from some type of seed, not sure why that interested me so much..but it did!
Mrs. Burrows was another AWESOME teacher! she played an autoharp and a guitar, she was FUN! took us outside and played songs with us and sang songs with us...PLEASANT memories!
In high school there was Nan Evans (Husband BOB!) she was SO stinking SMART! WOW! over all my favorite teacher! she was always there and always friendly, by the time I graduated I considered her a good friend. I was glad to find today that she and her husband are doing well.
There's nothing new yet on the job front, only one callback so far, nothing more than that! I've put in like 14 resumes and applications, but heard from only one place...things are tough right now, but God will, as he ALWAYS has, provide!
Time to head off for now!

Mrs. Burrows was another AWESOME teacher! she played an autoharp and a guitar, she was FUN! took us outside and played songs with us and sang songs with us...PLEASANT memories!
In high school there was Nan Evans (Husband BOB!) she was SO stinking SMART! WOW! over all my favorite teacher! she was always there and always friendly, by the time I graduated I considered her a good friend. I was glad to find today that she and her husband are doing well.

Saturday and Lego Technic
Yeah, it's Saturday once again, not sure what the day will bring for me?
A while back I read an article about how those in upper level managment were coloring with crayons to relaxe! BAHAHA!! WHOO-WEEE!! I'll leave that alone! While I CANNOT bring myself to color with crayons, I CAN bring myself to break out the Lego Technic and put a couple of those together!

The car kit below has over 1100 pieces, it took me a few weeks to complete this one, hey! it's better than coloring!
Still cold and kicking
While the temperatures have increased it is still STINKING cold here, a low of -4 last night....I SO want spring to come early this year!
The deer that I have seen in my yard didn't show up last night, I think it was just too cold for anything to be moving around! Friday night there were six doe's and a HUGE buck in my yard for about 45 minutes, beautiful creatures...
Nothing new on the job search, I've missed three GOOD potential jobs by ONE day......YUP! God is telling me what jobs He doesn't want me to have......Hmm could be He's teaching me to trust in someone OTHER than myself? Patience? that too!
I may be an old dog, but I can still learn new tricks!

Deer, snow and another job listing
So I finally had two more visitors last night around 11:00PM two large doe's that were looking for food, I hope to see them soon again.
We had MORE snow yesterday, we now officaily have had our season of snowfall with three months to go! GAK! no more please!
I put in a resume for a job that I have no official experience in, I have however been doing it on the sidefor six years now, I'm hoping that the company is willing to at least take a look at me and see what I can do for them? who knows?
So it's been 12 week's since I was let go...it feels like a lifetime to me! I wanna work! REALLY! work is GOOD!

Full moon
So were supposed to have the fullest moon of the year tonight, I'm hoping for a few clouds though, it improves the quality of the pictures if I take it through the tree's.
I drove my Aunt and Uncle to GR yesterday for an appointment, I set up for the long haul and ended up being there for only an hour. I stopped on the way back and picked up two plants for my aquaruim and some new filter tubes, they also gave me some snails (apparently they can't get rid of the things, but I want them) I'm hoping the tank really gets going, I have 9 or 10 gupppies in it right now and I'd like more.
No new news on the job front, I had been hoping to hear something on a position I want in a big way, but alas, nothing yet.
I repaired Moms laptop this week, it had a MAJOR bug that I could not beat, SO! I reformatted the drive and started over, it runs MUCH better now!

Cold weather and Junior
The temps here have been COLD in the mornings! GAK! 9 degrees when I woke up today and worse yet that temperature will be the HIGH for the day by next week.....where are you spring?
Junior is turning out to be quite the nice netbook, with the modifications I've made it is MUCH faster than before. I'm looking into three or four mods for sure yet...
1. Bluetooth (A cheapo mod, like $5)
2. A cooling Mod (Supposedly will reduce core temp by 10 degrees)
3. A cell phone connection (Not sure I want to do this one)
4. Convert the screen to a touch screen (The BIGGIE! $95 kit)
For the most part these will have to wait till I find a job, the total cost for these is @$100 and I DON'T have it right now. The cooling mod would be free, all that is needed is some aluminum from a soda can, I think I can come up with one of those.
I'd like to find a cooling fan/ heat sink combo to play with, but I don't want to pay for it! LOL! even the older Acer One's are getting some major moola right now, just SILLY!
There are FREE mods that I have made also:

Monday
Yup! it's Monday, I have an hour long class in G.R. today to attend, then it is back to the house to get some cleaning done.
I'm still praying about a position that I am wanting to get hired into. The position would be basically the same thing I was doing, managment. I have an "odd" personality for sure, I like the stress of managment? told ya I was NOT right! I miss that stress and would welcome it back happily.
There's not much going on here as you can see, I have a couple of things I need to get done this week, I am getting new glasses Wednesday, they are needed badly!
I put in a few more applications and resume's today, I found a few good leads on decent positions, I even started keeping track of where and when I apply so I don't do it twice.
Time to head off for now!

Dad's laptop issues
Last week Dad's laptop crashed and I ended up reinstalling windows XP on it, then all of a sudden the Synaptics pad completely stopped working so my brother gave him a mouse to use for the time being.
Yesterday I was over at Mom and Dad's and his laptop refused to start even in safe mode, as it turns out the hard drive was going out (STUPID THING!) My sister happened to have a 40Gb. drive setting around that she donated to Dad, I was able to get his laptop repaired in almost NO time! that thing is running WAY faster now, the old drive must have been going out for some time, it had slowed down considerably, the problems are gone now and the Synaptics pad is working once again! that is a good thing!
I just need to install and run a few programs to get it all cleaned up and Dad will be surfing like a pro once again.

Critters everywhere!
OK, so it's been a while once again since I've posted, it is the holidays after all! LOL
You would not believe the amount of critters that have been in my back yard in the last week! four deer (doe's) rabbits, woodpeckers, black/red/fox squirrels, bluejays, cardinals few cat'.....and more? the deer are nice to watch and they taste just as good too! "If God didn't want us to eat animals He wouldn't have made them out of meat!" LOL! I like that quote!
I'm still without a job, God will provide..soon I hope..it could be that after all those years of being a work-a-holic He is giving me an extended vacation? HA! "I'd rather be working!"
I'm hoping to hear something on a application I put in two weeks ago soon, it would be a great starting point in the company, with a good chance to advance myself in the future too boot!
