Wallpaper and trim

Today I am removing more wallpaper from the kithcen/diningroom and working a bit on the trim in my bedroom. I have about five hours into removing the wallpaper (I dislike wallpaper!) and there is another three feet to go before it is all stripped off the wall.
The trim in my bedroom was never finished for some reason and I'm O.C.ing that it is missing, SO I bought 3 8' pieces and it will be done, then I will need to paint the trim...is it EVER done?
I'm not complaining in any way, the house is starting to look nice, I can deal with that!
I guess I should head off for now, I can strip some more wallpaper before I get some help moving the fishtank......
Later all!

Me!
So here's where I'm at now, I put one of the new light fixtures up ($6 each) just to see if I liked them.

Done for real!

The frontroom is done for real this time! LOL! I put up the border and moved the curtains up 6" and NOW I am done!
The open spot in the bookshelf has been replaced with a shelf and it is painted, another spot in the frontroom....
I'd like to do a bunch of other projects in the house, but I'm going to stick to the reasonable things, paint and wallpaper! I "dislike" wallpaper! it is too much of a pain to remove! there MUST be a better way! OH YEAH! PAINT it! LOL!

Spring is nearly here, how can I tell? by my driveway! or MUDHOLE as it is right now! no complaints though! it IS here!
Later all!

What to do?

There are still things that I can do in the house but at the moment no money to do it! LOL! So goes life!
Spring is nearly here now, how do I know? I'm looking at the mud in my yard! YEESH!
There is one project that I want to complete today, the border in the front room! what a difference that will make!
Time for me to head off for now!
Later all!

Four rooms FINISHED! GOD IS GOOD!

I did more painting today, I finished the ceilings in three rooms and painted the last window frame.
So, here are some pictures! what'dya think? not bad for a single guy eh?

The frontroom finished...I THINK? Frontroom done #2
Frontroom done #3
The back entry done.
The spare bedroom done..again I think?
Bedroom done #1
Bedroom done #2

I took a look at my bedroom and it needed something more.....a border......I do NOT like wallpaper, it is a pain to remove! LOL! Anyway, I am glad I put the border up, $21 made a world of difference in how the room looked.
I have more to do in the house yet:
The washroom (paint the trim, wall's and ceiling) $18 have near a gallon of white paint left!
The bathroom (Paint the trim and the half with no wallpaper) $15
The kitchen/dining room (wallpaper and trim) not sure how much yet? I need carpet, doubt that will happen right now though!
Now, I know your thinking I'm nut's! NO job and I'm remodeling the house...yeah, I wonder also! but the truth is that I had MOST of what I needed before I lost my job, so far what I have had to purchase has come to $150, I can afford that! I had spent like $200 in paint and supplies LONG before everything happened, thank God for that! no way I could have managed this other wise.
I've said it before, I'll say it AGAIN! GOD IS GOOD!!!
Later all! I need to stop thinking about what needs to be done yet!

"I CAN!" Man

Tax Monday

Yeah, it is tax Monday! I finished all three today, it took like three hours to complete, but I am DONE! LOL!
I am feeling MUCH better now than I had in the last four day's, the creeping crud got me GOOD! LOL! It is nice to feel better, I cleaned the house first thing today, It's nice to have some energy!
So what to do tomorrow? something needs done! Painting? Grocery shopping? who knows! LOL!
Later all!
"Feeling better!"

"I CAN" Man!

Brain pain!

So I woke up with a NASTY migraine today, but I feel better than I have in a few days! figure that out? LOL!
I'm glad to feel better, I want to go to Church today! can't do that if I'm sick! Sinus pills have taken away the migraine, but there is still some pressure there, I can live with that.
No more painting done, this creeping crud has taken the ambition out of me, I want it back, I'd like to finish my house. Three ceilings and the whole back room need to be completed yet, that would be nice.
I will be glad when the creeping crud clears out for good, I can't even read right now! I was reading in Job, that was interesting! Like I said! I'll be glad when I clear up!
Time to head off for now, coffee's calling me!
Later all!

The creeping crud

For the first time this season I have the creeping crud, this one is only the 48 hour variety though, so all should be well in the next few hours. I still managed to get the ceiling done in the frontroom though, I would have done more, but I ran out of paint and didn't feel like going out and getting more paint.
No big things to do today, a little cleaning is in order, but that will not take long at all.
I should head off for now, things to do and all.
Later all!

Just enough!

I painted the front room today, I thought I had enough for three rooms, as it turns out there was only enough for ONE room! JUST enough! God is good eh?
So the house will stink for a while, but the front room is MUCH brighter than berfore, I can handle that!
I've put in enough resume's and applications that I broke down and created a spread sheet with the names of all the companies that I have applied to and the dates I applied, it was getting a little comfusing writing them down on paper (It got to be MESSY!)
So what else to do today? NO idea! I probable will but another gallon of white paint and do the other three rooms this week yet, I MUST finish the house! O.C. me!
I'll post more later if I think about it, not sure what the day will bring?
Later all!

Fixing the furnace

In the last few weeks the furnace exhaust blower had gotten quite LOUD! it wasn't getting worse, but it was waking me up in the middle of the night.
I called today to find out how much the blower was, $230 here in town and $135 if I order it on-line. I decided to remove and inspect the blower BEFORE I purchased a new one, even $135 is a LOT of money right now. Once I removed the blower I found some buildup in the vanes of the blower, I cleaned all the junk off and reinstalled it, fired it back up and NO MORE noise or vibrations! THANKYOU Lord! It only took me like 30 minutes to complete the entire process and it saved me a lopad of money! It felt GOOD to fix the furnace! no more problems please! But it DID feel GOOD!
Later for now!

Sunday morning

One again it is Sunday morning, I did a couple of loads of laundry, mopped a couple of floors, vacuumed the house, cleaned in the kitchen, nothing major, the house wasn't bad, but it needed a little attention before I went off to to Church.
Iwent and played at the lake for a few hour yesterday, a pleasant time indeed, I hope to do it very soon again, it was nice seeing all the people from the lake and finding out how they had all survived the winter. I look forward to the tine when I an go amping every weekend again, SO relaxing! I need it more than I can say at the moment! REALLY!

Things to do.....

So what to do today? I hope to finish the trim in the house, but there is something I need to do before that!
Someone at Church is designing a new Church website, I am going to scan in all the missionary prayer cards so the images can be used on the site. There are 45 missionaries that the Church supports, so it may take a while to get them all scanned in, so that will be the project for the day!
A cup of coffee and a brownie later and I am feeling better than when I woke up (Can't forget the sinus pills!) the pill's help out LOADS!
I guess it is time to head off for now....STUFF to do!
Later all!

Tired of TRIM!

It is official! I am burned out of painting! YEESH! I will paint a the last three window frames today, but after that...I am taking a break! NO MORE TRIM PAINTING! AHHHH!!! GAK! I've had ENOUGH of painting! LOL! REALLY I HAVE!!
I supposedly have a resume on the desk of an upper-up at a company I applied for, the only problem is they work seven days a week up to 12 hours a day! I need a job, but I need a BIT of a personal life and I NEED to go to Church too! what to do? uh-PRAY!
Time to head off for now, MORE painting to do today yet.....
So it's later now and I FINISHED the spare bedroom! OH MAN! SO glad to have it done! I worked more on the frontroom today also, only like 30' of trim to go, unfortunatly there is a bunch of STUFF in front of the trim that needs to be moved first, SO close! SO, SO close! LOL!

Later all!

No complaints about a rainy day!

I decided to work outside for a while today, with the snow melting away there are quite a few messes appearing!
So outside I went, where does all this trash come from? If my trash gets ripped open I take care of it! apparently someone in the neighborhood does not? I now know also why I didn't get the Shoppers Guide! they were buried in the snow, I picked like ten of them up....DOH! and a couple of Weekenders also...two bags of trash this week? at least everything is picked up and there are no visible messes....for the moment! there's still more snow to be melted.
Before the rain get going, I cleaned the Bravada and the Coupe out, both needed it, not bad, just getting cluttered.
I touched up another missed spot I found....how many more are there? LOL I'm taking a break from doing any major painting today, I'm not sure how the rain will affect it? SO! I'll wait for a day and start again.

More pictures

Spare bedroom/ computer room
Back entry

I've been painting as I said before for the last two weeks, I have some trim work to get done and a little bit of touchup yet, but for the most part I am finished.
I am really happy with the way the place is starting to look, everything is clean and shiny and NOT white! half of the house was white inside, not now!
I'll post pictures in a while of the other two rooms that are near done, I don't have a card reader in this computer. Poor old thing, it's about time to retire or rebiuld this computer....HHHmmmmmm........Dual core AMD? ATI video? LOTS of memory?? That will have to wait till I am once again working!
I would like to upgrade the processor in my laptop also, at the moment it is a TL-52, I would like to upgreade it to a TL-66, what a nice power increase that would be!
I'll post those pictures when i can!
Later all!

Still around

My Bedroom

The frontroom

Don't give me too much of a hard time about the frontroom and bedroom being just about the same color, it's rellaxing and I liked it! The other two rooms are two different colors.

I can't believe how nice it was yesterday! WOW! at least 54 outside! we lost at least 6" of accumulated snow, more like that please!!!
I did more painting yesterday, the back room and my bedroom are FINISHED! and it wasn't till later in the evening that I discovered a large spot that I had missed in the back room right next to the bookshelf, can't believe I missed that? an easy fix that I wil make sure happens!
The house is starting to look really nice and I still have quite a bit of white trim to paint, but for now I have the time.
So far I have only had to buy a roll of tape and a fresh air return register, all of the other paint and painting supplies I had already purchased. The paint that I had in the house was VERY old, I wasn't even sure if it was even good? It had been setting around the house for five years! But I mixed it up and it was still good! YES God is GOOD! there would have been no way I could have pulled off buying paint and all the supplies with no job! and EVERYTHING was still good!
I will probably need to invest in another 3" paint brush, four rooms, three bookshelves and three rooms of trim have killed the poor brush I'm using now!
I visited a friend yesterday for a while, it was nice to see here again and talk with her. I need to visit friends more often! no doubt!
The sun is shining already! YES! MORE please! MORE!
Later for now!

"I CAN" Man!

Still painting!

So, I'm still painting the house! When I was first let go from Meridian I started cleaning the house just to keep busy, it was during that time that I found the paint that I had purchased YEARS ago! amazingly enough it was still GOOD! (Thanking God for that!) I had even purchased brushes, a pan, rollers, a roller frame, an extension handle, drop cloth's, a roller cover and stir sticks! EVERYTHING I needed to complete the task!
So far I have painted the frontroom, my bedroom, the spare bedroom and the back entry. Along the way I also cleaned the switch plates and outlet plates. There was a LOT of paint on the plastic cover plates that came right off with hot water, every penny saved is a GOOD thing!
The spare bedroom (My computer room) was a MAJOR pain! I hope I NEVER have to paint that room AGAIN! I had NO idea just how much STUFF I had stored in there, far too much! SO I went through some of the stuff and it looks FAR better than before.
I still have ALL the white to paint yet, all the trim in four rooms and the book shelves in the frontroom need done, I will need to tape everything off before I start that project though, but it will look SO much better!

Still not even one callback on my resume's, I went as far as taking the resume to Michworks to make sure it looked ok, and they said it was good, only one small change that needed to be made and I did that right away.
Things are really tough in the job market right now, without my faith in God I'd be a big mess. I know that God will provide a job for me, I have no doubt about that, but being patient?? I'm not patient like that! I want to be working yesterday! not tomorrow! a new lesson to learn.
SO waht will the day bring? I really need to clean the place, all the painting has generated a mess throughout the house that needs to dissapear quickly! Nothing bad, just little spots throughout the place.
Time for me to head off for now, a cup of coffee is in my future!
Later all!

"I CAN" Man!
I'll try to post a few pictures of the house later on when I can.......
